Grew up on a sailboat, but havent been on one in many years. Virtual reality is amazing and thankfully doesn't make me sick so I use it quite a bit.
Parents had a 27ft sailboat when I was a kid. Also learned racing a the Yale Sailing Center. Made it to the regionals but were not used to the size of waves we face. Im still mad 30 years later haha. As an adult I havent had the means to have a boat of my own, so VR sailing is my fill.
